You went from June 10th to September 28th without saying shit on this blog, so you can't complain about me being "inactive" ... say what you will about Jared.
That said I have some very interesting thoughts about the NHL opener (the real one on Wednesday night, not the fake London ones). Those thoughts can be summed up in the following quote, "how about those baseball playoffs?".
The Rockies won their first playoff game since 1995. Beauty. Now (assuming Philly can win at least one game) the Phillies can win their first playoff game since 1993.
The Red Sox opened up their series with the Angels by riding a HUGE performance by Josh Beckett. A 3 hitter. Man can that guy pitch when it means something.
Then, the team that seems to be getting counted out took a 1-0 lead on the Cubs. Surely you know who I'm talking about, or have you counted them out too? Shame. It's the God damn DBacks. Now I consider myself a DBacks fan (only behind the Jays of course) and even I've barely heard of their team. For the most part they are a bunch of young "unknowns". I'm calling it right now, they will surprise the fuck out of people - granted that could simply mean winning two games, how should I know.
There is one thing I know though, fuck the Leafs and their inability to win games, oh and fuck Heatley for killing Dan Synder and not dying too ... it was the Leafs darkest day when he surived. And you thought I wasn't going to address hockey at all ...
